Ceratostigma plumbaginoides

Great for autumn colour this spreading perennial has slender red stems and bright green leaves, with wavy margins, that take on stunning red tints in late autumn. Brilliant blue flowers appear in autumn.

Height 45cm. Spread 30cm.

Grow in full sun and well drained soil. 

Cut back in spring.

Supplied as a garden ready plant in a 9x9x10cm pot.

Lovely healthy plants

The plants arrived well-packaged and look healthy. I'm looking forward to planting these where we can enjoy the beautiful blue flowers in summer and the amazing leaf colour in autumn. Previously I had C. Willmotianum which turned out to be not fully hardy in our new south Cotswold garden. In last year's cold winter. I'm hopeful that these will live up to their reputation of being hardy.
